Hello! My name is Elizabeth Unangst, and I’m a PK–12 Art Educator.
I’m passionate about nurturing students’ imaginations and helping them find that spark where their art becomes an authentic extension of themselves. I am skilled in painting, drawing, collage, and digital art, and I love exploring new media and techniques.
I value experimentation, play, and intuitive thinking throughout the art-making process. Art is a powerful form of communication—one that allows us to express our deepest feelings and share our personal realities with others. Everyone carries their own truths and defining experiences, and I believe those should be honored in the art classroom.
Growing up, I struggled with mental health and confidence in my abilities. Through art, I found a positive outlet for my emotions and a renewed sense of purpose. I always felt seen and supported by my art teachers, and the sense of community built in those classrooms made a lasting impact on me. It’s now my goal to create that same open, encouraging environment for my students—one where they feel safe to express their ideas, experiences, and emotions through creative expression. I’m grateful for the guidance I’ve received and excited to give back through my teaching journey.
